The festival is this Saturday from noon to 6 p.m., where Isham Street in Blue Back Square will highlight the multifaceted contributions of the LGBTQIA+ community, along with the diverse businesses and cultural venues the town has to offer.

Prior, the day's celebration starts with a rally at 11:30 a.m. on the steps of West Hartford Town Hall Auditorium featuring the voices of youth, state lawmakers and federal congressional representatives.

This rally spotlights what West Hartford and Connecticut are doing to "protect and embrace the LGBTQIA+ community in the face of ever-restrictive legislation being passed across the country."

More than a party, West Hartford Pride celebrates talent across the spectrum of arts, culture, music and performance, according to the town.

The whole family is welcome to take part in events throughout the day.

"Inclusivity is a priority for the West Hartford Pride Planning Committee and its sponsors. West Hartford Pride welcomes people from across the spectrum of age, gender identity, race, sexuality, ability and class," reads a town announcement. "This promises to be an event where everyone can see a piece of themselves celebrated."
