West Hartford Pride Month Events Begin Monday
Local Pride Month events begin Monday, June 1, with a flag-raising ceremony, and other events conclude with a June 27 festival.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — West Hartford will kick off Pride Month with a Pride flag-raising ceremony at Unity Green on Monday, June 1.
The ceremony will launch a month-long schedule of community events that will culminate in the town's annual Pride Festival on June 27.
The flag-raising ceremony is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. and is open to the public.

Following the ceremony, West Hartford Pride will host a kick-off party at 6:30 p.m. at The Laurel, 1046 New Britain Ave.
Additional events planned throughout June include Tracey's Pride Ride, a community bicycle ride beginning at 6 p.m. June 11 at Play It Again Sports, 635 New Park Ave., Building 5.

On June 20, West Hartford Pride will partner with The Claypen, 997 Farmington Ave., for Pride Night from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
A Pride Happy Hour is scheduled for June 26 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at El Santo Tequila & Mezcal, 970 Farmington Ave.
The month's events will culminate June 27 with a Pride Rally at 10:30 a.m. on the West Hartford Town Hall front lawn near the auditorium stairs, followed by the West Hartford Pride Festival from noon to 6 p.m. at Town Hall.
Organizers said all events are intended to celebrate and support the LGBTQ+ community while bringing residents together throughout Pride Month.
