West Hartford Public Works Office To Close To Public

The temporary closure is for only one work week.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — The town's public works department will be closed to the public this week, forcing residents to postpone plans to obtain any required permits through the office.

Due to a scheduling conflict, public works will not have office hours from Monday, Aug.19, through Friday, Aug. 23. The town's DPW office is at 17 Brixton St.

Office hours and permit pick-up will resume during the week of Aug. 26.

Permits can be purchased and picked up in person Wednesday through Friday from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m.

The West Hartford Yard Waste & Recycling Center, 25 Brixton St., will remain open with regular hours of operation, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. (last car in by 2:45 pm)., and Saturday from 7 a.m. to noon (last car in by 11:45 a.m.). The facility is closed on major holidays.
