West Hartford to Purchase UConn Property: Report
The town is reportedly moving to buy the 58-acre campus from UConn.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — The town is moving to purchase UConn’s 58-acre West Hartford campus, the Hartford Courant reports.
West Hartford Mayor Scott Slifka told the Courant that the town has negotiated a purchase price of $5 million with UConn.
The town recently received an extension to June 17 from UConn on its deadline to decide whether or not it would match the $12.6 million deal made with the China-based Weiming Educational Group, which planned to use it as an international high school.
