West Hartford Reminds Taxpayers Of Aug. 1 Deadline
Taxes must be paid or postmarked by Monday, Aug. 1, to avoid any late penalties.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Town officials Friday are reminding taxpayers that taxes are due Aug. 1 if people want to avoid paying any late penalties.
"The Town of West Hartford Revenue Collection Office offers a friendly reminder to pay your tax bill by Aug. 1, 2022 to avoid a penalty," reads a notice posted by the town Friday afternoon.
Payment must be postmarked or hand-delivered to the Revenue Collection Office located off of the West Hartford Town Hall lobby.

Payments postmarked after Aug. 1, 2022 incur interest at a rate of 1.5 percent per month, calculated back to July 1 due date.

• Pay online. Pay by electronic check ($0.90 processing fee) or by credit card (2.95 processing processing fee). Go to https://www.westhartfordct.gov... and click on the button: PAY TAXES NOW
•Pay by mail. Insert your check and payment stub in the provided envelope. The New Britain address is correct. This is where the bank processes payments. Must be postmarked Aug. 1, 2022.
• Pay in person. Come to Room 109 located off the town hall lobby. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Taxpayers can pay more than one tax bill with one check. Simply reference all bill numbers on the check.
Those who would like a receipt, can print a copy of your payment history on line. Go to https://www.westhartfordct.gov... and select “Look Up My Tax info.” Payments are reflected one business day after a payment is posted by the Tax Office.
Those who escrow their taxes with a mortgage company and would like to view their bill can follow these steps:
• Go to https://www.mytaxbill.org/inet.
• Search for your bill by Name, Property Location, Bill # or List Number.
• Select any of the following icons: Information on this Account; Download PDF; View Original Tax Bill.
Tax relief programs are available to veterans and income eligible residents over the age of 65.
