West Hartford Resident Thrown Out Of Trump Rally
The college student's sign that read "America's Already Great" was torn up by Trump supporters before he was escorted out of the building.
West Hartford resident Kiernan Majerus-Collins, 20, was escorted out of a Donald Trump rally in Lowell, Mass. Monday night after supporters of the Republican frontrunner ripped up his sign that read “America’s Already Great.”
The Hartford Courant reports Majerus-Collins, a student at Bates College in Maine, made the trip to Massachusetts with two friends with plans to protest. His friend’s sign, which read “God Bless President Obama” was also torn up by Trump’s supporters.
Majerus-Collins, who according to Facebook is a member of the West Hartford Democratic Town Committee and an Op-Ed contributor for CTNewsJunkie.com, told the Courant that he and his friends made it through security and into the event without incident but crowd reacted almost immediately to their signs.

A YouTube video shows the confrontation, which began when a man sitting behind Majerus-Collins told him ”you don’t belong here, go away” and then told him to “shut up” and “shut your mouth.”
Another man sitting in front of Majerus-Collins, turned to him to say “You’re at a Trump rally. Ditch those (the signs). Ditch ‘em!”

The two men then joined in tearing up both signs, as did the woman sitting next to Majerus-Collins, and the crowd started to get fired up.
Trump apparently heard the commotion, or ironically was talking about other times he had protesters thrown out of his rallies, because he can be heard on the video saying, “Sometimes, I’ll be rough and say ‘Get ‘em out of here!’”
The crowd then rose to its feet, a police officer then came over to Majerus-Collins, and Trump can be heard saying “What’s going on back there?” followed by “Get out of here” as Majerus-Collins and his friends were escorted out.
“I’m not intimidated by Donald J. Trump or his thuggish supporters—they won’t stop me from fighting for our values,” Majerus-Collins posted on Facebook Wednesday night.
