West Hartford Road Closures Announced for Hartford Marathon
Several West Hartford roads will be closed due to the Hartford Marathon and Half Marathon on Saturday (Oct. 8) morning.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — More than 7,000 runners will be on West Hartford roads for the 2016 Eversource Hartford Marathon and Half Marathon on Saturday, Oct. 8 and several roads will be closed to vehicular traffic during the race.
The road closures will take place between 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
For best access to and from the area enclosed by the race route, motorists are encouraged to use the Sisson Avenue highway entrances and exits (#46) on I-84.

The following road closures will take place on Oct. 8:
Parkville Area

- Park Street (from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.)
Whiting School Area (closures are from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.)
- Park Road
- Whiting Lane
- South Quaker Lane
- South Highland
- Boulevard
Morley School Area (from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.)
- North Quaker Lane
- Fern Street
- Troutbrook Drive (Northbound lanes)
Albany Ave. between Steele Road and Troutbrook, Eastbound lanes, (from 8 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.)
Elizabeth Park Area (from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.)
