West Hartford School Foundation Celebrating Major Milestone

WEST HARTFORD, CT — The educational foundation supporting the West Hartford School System is celebrating a major anniversary this year and it has chosen Earth Day Saturday to commemorate a quarter century of service.

The Foundation for West Hartford Public Schools is hosting its "Foundation Fun Day" on Saturday, April 22, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the West Hartford Town Hall parking lot, 50 S. Main St., West Hartford.

Central to that is a townwide scavenger hunt families can partake in that concludes on that day.

"Join the Foundation for our first ever town-wide scavenger hunt in honor of our 25th anniversary," wrote the foundation.

The hunt actually started on April 15 and will conclude at the Foundation Fun Day on April 22.

Meanwhile, Foundation Fun Day will feature family friendly and Earth Day activities, a silent auction and the raffle drawing.

All proceeds from Foundation Fun Day will provide financial support for educational projects, programs and initiatives to enhance and enliven the classroom experience and promote excellence in West Hartford Public Schools.
