West Hartford Schools Looking For Mentors To Work With Students
The school system is hosting two separate mentoring workshops this week to help prospective mentors participate in the program.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — West Hartford schools are looking for folks in the community to mentor local pupils and help prepare them for life after school.
The school system is hosting an important meeting for prospective mentors on Thursday, Jan. 22, at West Hartford Town Hall, 50 Main St.
It will take place from noon to 2 p.m. in Room 407.

For those who cannot make it, another mentoring workshop will take place virtually via Google Meet on Thursday, Jan. 22, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. A link will be provided to registrants.
This session is for prospective mentors who wish to learn more about mentoring and how they can make a difference in the life of a young person.

Carol Wilkas, West Hartford Public Schools' District Mentor Program Coordinator/Workshop Facilitator, will highlight program guidelines and discuss why mentoring is vital in schools today.
In addition, there will be a special panel of mentors who will share their experiences.
