West Hartford Seeks Volunteers For America 250 Events

WEST HARTFORD, CT — If you love both your country and community, West Hartford's America 250 planning committee could use your help.

Like 1976 and the bicentennial, towns nationwide — including West Hartford — are gearing up for 2026 like no other year (except 1976).

"The United States of America turns 250 in 2026," wrote the committee in a recent announcement.

" Across our nation, towns, cities, and states will be reflecting on the past, present, and future of our democracy."

As a result, the town is inviting members of our community to join the West Hartford America 250 Commemorative Committee.

This organization will plan educational and cultural opportunities over the next year.
