West Hartford Senior/Community Center Project Topic Of Fall Forums
Starting Thursday, events are planned to garner public input on all aspects of the Elmwood library/senior center/community center project.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Starting Thursday, folks will have plenty of opportunities to weigh in on what they want to see in a new community center/senior center/library in town.
Last year, West Hartford purchased the old St. Brigid School site, which encompasses 8.5 acres in the Elmwood section of town at 100 Mayflower St., for $3 million, with the state reimbursing most of that figure.
Now, the town is in the information-gathering phase of the project, with several events slated for this fall, starting Thursday, to do just that with members of the public.

The project would, eventually, replace the community center and library in the Elmwood section of town, as those buildings are seen as being antiquated.
"We have several upcoming events and we hope you can join us," wrote the town via social media. "All members of our community have the ability to co-create the vision for our town and help shape decisions – we invite you to be a part of the process."
