West Hartford Store Targeted By Burglars: Police

The store owner saw intruders via the building's surveillance system and the stolen escape vehicle was abandoned in Hartford, police said.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Local police are investigating the burglary of a West Hartford boutique after the store's owner noticed an intruder via the store's surveillance system on Saturday morning.

According to the West Hartford Police Department, officers were called to "Tactical Boutique," 9C Tolles St., West Hartford, for an active burglary complaint at 3:17 a.m. Saturday.

Police said the store owner observed an individual inside the boutique via remote, closed-circuit television.

According to the WHPD, at least one suspect was observed fleeing in a vehicle later determined to be stolen.

That vehicle, police said, was located unoccupied a short time later in the City of Hartford.

"No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation is ongoing," police said in a statement. "It is important to note that no firearms or ammunition were stolen during this incident."
