West Hartford Student, 10, Recognized for Holiday Spirit and Generosity

WEST HARTFORD, CT - A generous 10-year old was rewarded Thursday for her holiday spirit, according to the Hartford Courant.

Charter Oak International Academy student Faith Brown told friends attending her birthday party last year not to give her a present, according to the Hartford Courant. She instead insisted they bring a gift to be donated to those in need.

Brown was rewarded during lunchtime at school, where she received a number of gifts from the police and others across the state, the Hartford Courant reported.
