The Career Walk was created in 2014 by BlumShapiro, PBI Financial and Junior Achievement of Southwest New England to prepare students for choosing a potential career by gaining a better understanding of job opportunities in their own communities.

Since the program’s inception, JA Career Walks have been held in New Haven and Avon. A walk is planned this year for Hartford.
