West Hartford Students Participating in 'Kids Against Hunger' Saturday

The program is a national humanitarian organization to help feed hungry children worldwide.

Eighty-five local students will gather at St. Helena Church in West Hartford on Saturday to prepare 7000 nutritional packaged meals for starving children worldwide.

The program “Kids Against Hunger” is a national humanitarian organization to help feed hungry children worldwide.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St Helena Church, 30 Echo Lane in West Hartford.

It is sponsored by West Hartford Outreach (WHPO) – a collaborative of Catholic Parishes – St. Helena, St. Peter Claver, St. Mark the Evangelist, St. Thomas and St. Timothy.

Each meal package will provide adequate nutrition for a family of six for a day.
