West Hartford To Take Inventory Of Streetlights
West Hartford will begin a six-week streetlight inventory Sept. 21, with contractors surveying and photographing lights across town.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — West Hartford residents may notice contractors stopping at utility poles and taking photographs around town beginning next week as part of a comprehensive streetlight inventory.
The Town of West Hartford said the audit will begin the week of Sept. 21 and is expected to take about six weeks.
The town has hired Tanko Lighting to conduct the inventory.

Company employees will survey and photograph streetlights to document information about each fixture.
Workers will briefly stop at utility poles equipped with streetlights as well as at dedicated streetlight poles throughout West Hartford, according to the town.

Town officials said Tanko Lighting employees will wear highly visible safety vests, carry identification, and travel in marked vehicles while conducting the work.
The West Hartford Police Department has been notified about the project.
