West Hartford Would Lose Big In Malloy's New Budget Proposal
West Hartford would see a reduction in state aid under Gov. Dannel P. Malloy's latest budget proposal that was released Monday.

WEST HARTFORD, CT - The bad news keeps coming for Connecticut municipalities as the state attempts to claw out from under its budget mess.
Under Gov. Dannel P. Malloy's revised, proposed adjustments to the fiscal year 2019 budget previously adopted by the legislature state municipal aid would be cut nearly $100 million - both in the education and non-education side.
West Hartford would receive 12 percent - or $2.82 million less under Malloy's plan. Previously it was slated to get $24.1 million; now, $21.3 million.
