West Hartford Unveils Heat Protocols
The Town of West Hartford Wednesday morning urged folks to beat the heat by visiting some of the town's public places.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — With the mercury expected to skyrocket this week, town officials Wednesday morning issued some tips to beat the heat as well as places to go to do so.
Extreme heat protocols actually went into effect statewide Wednesday, with many towns opening official cooling centers to help folks without air conditioning cope.
West Hartford officials urged locals to visit the town's libraries, senior centers and town pools/splash pads to cool down.
