WeHa Biz Discount Cards Help Fight Cancer, What You Need To Know

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Starting Thursday, local businesses will be utilizing a special discount card for sale in town that will not only encourage local shopping, but raise money to fight cancer.

For the fifth year in a row, the West Hartford Center Business Association will be making the "We Care Card" available from Thursday, Nov. 3, to Sunday, Nov. 13.

Proceeds from every card purchased will benefit the Ron Foley Foundation, which supports pancreatic cancer patients and their families.

Foley was a West Hartford resident who died in 2005 of the disease, with the foundation created in his memory.

"We Care Card" donations start at $50 and provide customers with special offers and discounts up to 20 percent off at participating businesses during the 10-day period.

The "We Care Cards" are available for purchase starting Thursday, Nov. 3, at Kimberly Boutique, 968 Farmington Ave., or online at https://www.RonsRun.org/weha-we-care-card.
