WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — A West Hartford woman was handcuffed and escorted off a Spirit Airlines plane by state troopers at Bradley International Airport Thursday afternoon following an altercation with airline personnel.

Around 4:01 p.m., troopers assigned to the airport were dispatched to Spirit Airline flight NK827 to Ft. Myers, Fla. upon a report of a female passenger pushing a Spirit employee. Upon arriving on scene, the Spirit shift supervisor told police the passenger was cursing and irate, and had grabbed an attendant. The supervisor stated the passenger's right to fly aboard the aircraft had been revoked, according to a state police report.

Troopers then met with the woman, later identified as Sandra Cohen, 59, of West Hartford, who was seated aboard the aircraft. Her demeanor was confrontational and failed to comply with numerous commands to leave the aircraft. Upon refusal, she was handcuffed and escorted off the plane, police said.
