West Hartford's 7-Day Forecast Includes Plenty of Sun, Temps Near 80, and a Chance of Thunderstorms

The seven-day weather outlook includes the early forecast for Mother's Day.

Summer feels like it’s just around the corner as temperatures on Monday will reach the low-80s. High 70s also are forecast for Tuesday.

One month ago it was snowing at this time, which is hard to believe.

The weather this week looks great, the only day that will be less than ideal is Tuesday when rain showers and thunderstorms are possible.

The rest of the week looks amazing with plenty of sunshine, temps in the low 70s and the early Mother’s Day forecast for Sunday looks great with sunny skies and temperatures in the high-70s.

The National Weather Service does have a “Special Weather Statement” in effect for Monday for an elevated fire weather risk.

According to the bulletin, the elevated fire weather potential is for the afternoon and evening hours.

It states:

“With warm temperatures and low dewpoints… dry conditions are expected today across northeast Connecticut. Relative humidity values could drop as low as 20 percent.

“This will combine with afternoon southwesterly winds sustained at 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph to yield elevated fire weather risk mainly during the afternoon and evening hours today.”

Here is West Hartford’s latest hyperlocal National Weather Service forecast:

This Afternoon: Sunny, with a high near 82. South wind 9 to 11 mph.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 58. South wind 7 to 14 mph.

Tuesday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 3pm, then a slight chance of showers. Increasing clouds, with a high near 78. Light and variable wind becoming northwest 5 to 7 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Tuesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 55. Northwest wind around 6 mph becoming calm after midnight.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 76. Light and variable wind.

Wednesday Night: Clear, with a low around 50.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 75.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 49.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 80.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 56.

Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 81.

Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 57.

Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 77.
