West Hartford's 'C-SPAN' Celebrates 45 Years

WEST HARTFORD, CT — A local effort to record and broadcast the inner workings of West Hartford government and its major civic events will celebrate special anniversary next month.

And, the town and people behind West Hartford Community Interactive is inviting the local community to celebrate with them, with tickets on sale now.

To commemorate its 45th Anniversary, West Hartford Community Interactive is hosting a special wine-tasting soiree on Saturday, Nov. 9, from 6 to 9 p.m., in the West Hartford Town Hall auditorium, 50 S. Main St.

Radio Personality Ray Hardman and long-time community producers Bobby P. and Rocky Holland will host a guided wine tasting for attendees in an interactive show featuring curated wines, unique pairings, and lively conversation, followed by a buffet dinner and highlight reel.

West Hartford Community Interactive is a nonprofit organization dedicated to recording the town's history and happenings as they happen, with municipa meetings, town celebrations and other notable events broadcast live.

It operates locally in a similar vein to how C-SPAN records the goings on in Washington, D.C.

WHCI's work is seen on local cable television, streamed online and streamed live via Youtube.
