West Hartford's Webster House Is 'All About Apples'

The town's major history museum is hosting a special event Saturday, Sept. 21, on how apples played a major role in America's early days.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — The town's historical museum is hosting an event on the last day of summer that celebrates, perhaps, one of fall's biggest features — apples.

The Noah Webster House & West Hartford Historical Society on Saturday, Sept. 21, is hosting a program called "All About Apples."

Taking place from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., the museum will feature many activities revolving around this beloved fruit.

"Learn about the importance of apples for early American families," wrote the museum.

During the event, visitors will create apple recipes, and apple-theme crafts and learn about all the ways apples can be eaten and enjoyed.

The program is part of the museum's regular "Life on the Webster Farm: Work Days" series of events, with children 12 and under getting in for free.
