WHPD Selling Collectible Holiday Patches For Needy
The commemorative patches will be sold at multiple donation collection events involving West Hartford police.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Local police Tuesday unveiled a new holiday gift that folks can buy as a nice stocking stuffer and raise money for the needy in the process.
The West Hartford Police Department is participating in upcoming holiday donation drives.

As a special collector's item this year, the WHPD designed its first Holiday WHPD patch. They can be purchased for $10 at any of the donation drives, the first one being Thursday, Nov. 30.
The patch shows a very infamous hand holding a tree ornament with an iconic West Hartford building on display.

All donations will be given directly to West Hartford families in need, police said.
Any new unwrapped toys, donations, gift cards, books, new clothing items (infant to adolescent sizes), age-appropriate movies, and games are welcome.
People are asked to avoid items with safety hazards like sharp edges and easily breakable parts or toy weapons of any kind.
The WHPD will be at the following collection events selling patches and collecting items:
• "Stuff a Cruiser" at Relax the Back (973 Farmington Ave.) during the Holiday Stroll from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30.
• "Stuff a Cruiser" at Target (333 N. Main St., West Hartford) Thursday, Dec. 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Friday, Dec. 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and Thursday, Dec. 14, from 3 to 7 p.m.
