Woman Struck by Vehicle at Intersection in West Hartford
West Hartford police said they are investigating an accident involving a car and a pedestrian.

WEST HARTFORD, CT - West Hartford police said they responded to an accident Tuesday involving a car and a pedestrian. Officers found upon arrival that a woman had been hit by a car while crossing the street, according to a release.
Police said the pedestrian, 44-year old Stephanie Lantz of West Hartford, was crossing the street near the intersection of Farmington Avenue at Trout Brook Drive. The traffic lights were red at the time of the incident and pedestrian signals were activated, police said.

Police said Brandon Hickey, 86, of West Hartford was proceeding west on Farmington Avenue when he drove through a red light and struck the victim. She was the only one hit by the car, police said.
Police provided immediate aid to the victim, who was subsequently transported to Hartford Hospital, police said.

The accident is currently under investigation, police said.
