WEST HARTFORD, CT — Firefighters rescued two young girls who were trapped in an elevator over the weekend.

“It was a complex and time consuming operation,” officials said in a post on the West Hartford firefighters’ union Facebook page.

Fire crews from Station 1 and 2 responded to the incident, which occurred at a private business facility in town, officials said.
