2 Beaches Remain Closed In West Haven

Several beaches reopened Wednesday in West Haven, but two will remain closed until further notice, according to officials.

WEST HAVEN, CT — Two beaches in West Haven remain closed due to runoff from the recent storm, officials announced Wednesday.

All of the city’s beaches were sampled on Monday and analyzed on Tuesday, according to West Haven Health Director Maureen B. Lillis.

The results showed the bacteria levels were within acceptable limits and the beaches were reopened except for South Street and Sea Bluff Beach, according to Lillis.

South Street and Sea Bluff beaches will remain closed pending lab results on July 15, according to Lillis.
