Georgeanna “Georgie” Levatino DiVito, 84, of East Haven, beloved wife of the late Anthony “Poppy” DiVito, passed away on May 18, 2026 surrounded by her family at Montowese Health and Rehabilitation Center. Loving mother of Phyllis (Leonard M.) Hottin of East Haven and Angela (Saverio) Finelli of Madison. Grandfather of Leonard A. (Rachel), Ashley and Michael Hottin; Erica (Joseph) D’Amato; and Vincent (Allison), Frank (Robert Sorrell) and Anthony (Isabella) Finelli. Great-grandmother of Sophia and Gianna D’Amato and Hadley Hottin. Sister of Marie Massaro of North Haven, Rose (Fran Pittaluga) Marenna of East Haven, Joseph (Grace) Levatino of Northford and the late Lorraine D’Auria and Anthony Levatino. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Georgeanna was born on January 12, 1942 daughter of the late William and Lucy Martino Levatino. Prior to her retirement, Georgeanna was employed at Interplex Company. She enjoyed trips to the casino, playing bingo, sewing, and spending cherished time with her grandchildren.
Her funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven THURSDAY morning, May 21, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish in Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Family and friends may call THURSDAY morning from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association at lung.org.
