Obituary: Mary Ann E. Sullivan (Porto Funeral Homes)

Mary Ann Elizabeth Candido Sullivan, 95, of West Haven, beloved wife of the late William M. Sullivan, passed away on June 2, 2026 at CT Hospice surrounded by her loving family. Loving mother of Maureen Nuzzo and the late William, Robert and Patricia Sullivan. Sister of Rudolph Candido and the late Angelina “Angie” Moscato, Gaetano, Benny, Generoso Jr. and Nicholas Candido. Grandmother of Tanya (Tichard), William III (Dina) and Alessandra. Great grandmother of Chandler, Liam and Maks. She cherished her many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends, all of whom held a special place in her heart. Mary Ann was born in New Haven on October 20, 1930 daughter of the late Generoso and Concetta Russo Candido. She spent her early career at SNET as an overseas operator, raised her family and ended her career as a Dietary Manager at Seacrest Nursing Center. Mary Ann’s family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to CT Hospice, Yale New Haven Hospital, Whitney Manor and her home healthcare aides for their exceptional care, kindness, and support.
