WEST HAVEN, CT — Hunter Biden joined X last month and has been posting in recent days with a no-holds-barred style that led to the revelation Thursday that he once smoked crack at a motel in West Haven.
Biden, the son of former President Joe Biden, began posting in late May about his road to recovery and celebrating his seven years of sobriety.
In recent days, Biden has been trending on X for bluntly responding to his critics, engaging with supporters of President Donald Trump, and ripping CNN’s Jake Tapper among others.
In one profanity-laced thread on Thursday, Biden wrote “WTF timeline are we on. Someone called me the MAGA whisperer and I’ll gladly take the title. Left, right, D or R we all want the same things. We’re being divided on purpose by the Epstein Elite Oligarch class because as long as we’re at each other’s throats, they get fat and rich off of our misery. The second we figure out we agree on more than we disagree, they’re done. Love your neighbor. Be yourself. Radical honesty.”
The thread led to Biden’s revelation of his drug use at the now-defunct Super 8 motel near I-95 in West Haven.
In one response to Biden’s post, a person wrote “See, I thought you were part of the Epstein class, what with your weird tattoos and seemingly dark, private lifestyle. You still could be, and just denying it, but you're talking pretty openly, and that's important.”
Biden wrote in response, “The exact opposite. I wasn’t on a private island smoking crack. I was at the Super 8 off I95 in West Haven. Very different class of people, and with more integrity than any of those people.”
In another response to someone claiming he was “decidedly part of the elite oligarch class,” Biden shared a photo of himself smoking a cigarette shirtless, and writing, “Do I look like I’m a part of the elite oligarch class. This was taken at a super 8 motel off I95 by the way.”
Biden is a Yale graduate who was admitted to the bar in Connecticut in April 1997 before being disbarred in the state over his federal tax and gun convictions in 2024.
