• 2 Killed, 1 Injured In Shooting Outside Bar In West Haven: Police (patch.com subscription) — Two people were killed and one injured in an early-morning shooting outside a Campbell Avenue bar in West Haven, and detectives are still piecing together what happened. Police say the violence appears tied to activity at the bar and not an ongoing public threat, and a person was later taken into custody in Clinton as investigators searched for evidence.    

• Clare L. Desjarlais (villages-news.com) — Family and friends are mourning Clare L. Desjarlais, a devoted wife, mother, and talented home designer and cook who died May 27 at age 90. Among her survivors is her son Paul E. Grigas of West Haven, connecting her long life’s journey from New England to The Villages back to our community.
