The feeling is mutual within the community, with many members sharing memories of Annunziata and Corso's Deli on social media.

West Haven State Representative Treneé McGee shared photos of herself and Annunziata in a post on Facebook.

"We've all heard the news and it has become the talk of the town about the legend in this photo!" she wrote in the post. "The for sale sign has arrived and soon, our community staple, Corso's deli will house another business. Mike, knows my whole family just like I know he knows yours. He has served the community since he was 14 years old and has earned a much deserving retirement. Go and grab your subs before they go!"

Annunziata told the New Haven Register that he is working with a potential buyer who would keep the Corso's name and the same menu.

Corso's Deli is located at 702 Boston Post Road in West Haven.
