WEST HAVEN, CT — Officials are advising residents that a milling and paving operation is set to begin on Campbell Avenue in West Haven later this week.

"The milling and paving process is expected to take several weeks to complete, as it is dependent on weather conditions," officials wrote in a post on the city's Facebook page. "Your patience is appreciated during this critical roadwork to improve the infrastructure of our city's main thoroughfare. In addition to paving, other enhancements include handicapped-accessible curb cuts along Campbell Avenue. There may be a tentative gap between the curbs and road while this process is underway. Please use caution when using the curbs and while driving on the milled road.

"Please note that after Campbell Avenue is repaved, the city will repaint the patriotic markings at Campbell and Main Street."
