WEST HAVEN, CT — A transformer fire temporarily knocked out power to around 1,500 residents on Thursday night in West Haven, according to Mayor Dorinda Borer.
United Illuminating responded, and power was restored around 6 p.m.
The outages were in the area of Savin Avenue, Chestnut Street, Richmond Avenue, Elm Street, and the Center flats, according to Borer.
