Jimmies of Savin Rock site in West Haven listed for sale nearly year after closure (ctpost.com) — West Haven's landmark Jimmies of Savin Rock waterfront property at 5 Rock Street has been listed for sale, opening a major question about future development on the city's shoreline. City officials call the move a welcome step, as the vacant restaurant sits beside the upcoming Kelsey project and could significantly reshape the Savin Rock neighborhood and local economy.
3. Metro-North adding Yankee Clipper trains from New Haven to Yankee Stadium for Game 3 (wtnh.com) — If you're heading from West Haven to Yankee Stadium tonight, Metro-North is running two special Yankee Clipper trains from New Haven that will stop in West Haven on the way. Departures are at 4:07 p.m. and 4:47 p.m., timed to get fans to the Yankees–Rays playoff game and back with added post-game service.
4. Shelton man arrested after allegedly shooting at another vehicle on I-95 (wtnh.com) — State police say a driver reported another motorist driving erratically behind them in the West Haven area of I-95 before a gunshot allegedly damaged their vehicle near Milford. A Shelton man later turned himself in and faces firearm and reckless endangerment charges, with no injuries reported but an ongoing investigation into the highway road-rage incident.
