WEST HAVEN, CT — WHEAT, Inc. of West Haven has received a $10,000 donation from the Archdiocese of Hartford's Vicariate Outreach Program to help fight growing local food insecurity, officials announced this week.
"As demand for food assistance rises across the state, this funding allows WHEAT to keep its pantry stocked and ensure CT families have access to fresh, nutritious food and essential supplies this season," WHEAT Executive Director Sara Hannafin said in an email.
