The Gilbert Street Collection introduces Artist David Byrne. David has been creating linocut prints for more than twenty-five years. After teaching high school mathematics for eleven years, he’s dedicated more time to printmaking. Focusing on multi-color reduction prints, he’s drawn to the balance between the slower process of designing and carving the block and the quickness of using the press to create each new layer of a piece.
