Child Rescued From Water At Beach In West Haven: Reports

WEST HAVEN, CT — A child was hospitalized after being rescued from the water at Seabluff Beach in West Haven on Monday morning, according to WTNH News 8.

WTNH reports the child was on a school field trip and was pulled out of the water and given CPR by a school chaperone.

The child is a student at East Rock Community Magnet School in New Haven, according to NBC Connecticut.

WFSB 3 reports the student, a 13-year-old girl, was unconscious when she was pulled from the water by a chaperone.

The student was reportedly conscious and alert when she was taken to the hospital, according to WFSB 3.
