‘Community Cafe’ Pitched For Long Vacant Space On West Haven Shoreline: Report

The long vacant bait and tackle shop could become a "community coffee shop and cafe" under a new plan, according to a report.

WEST HAVEN, CT — The long vacant former bait and tackle shop on the West Haven shoreline at 267 Beach St. could become a “community coffee shop and café” with rooftop seating, according to the New Haven Register.

The Register reports a new application calls for the building to be converted into a coffee shop and café that will focus on “CT-roasted coffee drinks and will include a selection of other locally sourced beverages, such as craft beer and wine” among other things.

The application is expected to go before the Planning and Zoning Commission later this month, according to the Register.
