Couple Arrested On Gun, Drug Charges In West Haven: PD

Police said a man and his fiancée were arrested in connection with an investigation into illegal drug sales in West Haven.

WEST HAVEN, CT — A West Haven man and his fiancée were arrested on drug and gun charges in connection with an investigation, according to police.

The West Haven Police Department's Street Crime Unit launched an investigation in January into the illegal sale of narcotics within the city, according to police.

Police said Stefan Bagley, 41, was identified as the suspect during the course of the investigation.

The Street Crime Unit, with the assistance from members of the Patrol Division, executed search and seizure warrants at Bagley's home and on his vehicle on Thursday, according to police.

“As a result of the Search and Seizure Warrants, the Street Crime Unit seized 367.4 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 75.4 grams of suspected powder cocaine, nine glassine bags each containing suspected Fentanyl, as well as a Springfield XD-S nine-millimeter pistol with an obliterated serial number,” police wrote in a news release.

Police said Bagley was taken into custody on arrest warrants and additionally charged with operation of a drug factory, possession with intent to sell over one-half ounce of cocaine, possession with intent to sell a narcotic substance, criminal possession of a firearm, illegal alteration of a firearm, criminal possession of ammunition, and two counts of possession of a controlled substance. He was held on bond.

Police also said that Bagley's fiancée, Jaime Pruitt, also of West Haven, was arrested and charged with illegal alteration of a firearm. She was released on bond, according to police.
