“I support and welcome ‘See Us, Hear Us, Be the Change,’ a celebration of creative expression and West Haven’s vibrant Black community,” Mayor Nancy R. Rossi said. “It is important that our city does its part to support this human rights struggle and the fight against systemic racism.”
The event will feature an art showcase and local Black-owned businesses, as well as a program of song, dance and spoken word. All proceeds from art sales will benefit area nonprofits, organizers said.
Organizers are urging participants and visitors to wear face masks.
