WEST HAVEN, CT — The West Haven Animal Shelter is asking for help with information regarding a dog who was abandoned last Friday at the West Haven Library on Elm Street.

“He has a microchip but it is registered to his original rescue in Indiana and they don't have records for the current owner,” the animal shelter wrote in a post on Facebook. “We conducted an investigation to find the current owner who is believed to have left the dog and moved out of state but we have come up empty.

“If anyone has any information about this pup named ‘Mason’ please contact the West Haven Animal Shelter by either message us or calling and leaving a voice-mail in the general mailbox at 203-937-3642 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.”
