The animal shelter is asking for help after a dog was abandoned and found tied to a pole in West Haven.

WEST HAVEN, CT — In an update Tuesday afternoon, animal shelter officials say they have found the owner of the dog that was found tied to a pole in West Haven over the weekend. Officials say the investigation is ongoing.

(Original post): WEST HAVEN, CT — The West Haven Animal Shelter is asking for help after a dog was found tied to a pole and abandoned over the weekend.

“We are asking for the public’s assistance at this time regarding this sweet girl who was found tied to a pole Saturday, July 27th between the hours of 9:00-2:00 at the apartment complex at 998 Campbell Ave.,” the animal shelter wrote in a post on Facebook.

“We understand that sometimes the options are limited in rehoming your animals, but there are options and this is absolutely unacceptable (and against the law). If anyone has any information pertinent to this case, please call the shelter 203-937-3642.
