Dog Found Left Tied to Fence Post at Park in West Haven

The dog was found earlier this morning and is currently at the West Haven Animal Shelter.

WEST HAVEN, CT — A dog was found left tied to a fence post at Morris Park behind Chick’s on Monday morning, according to West Haven Police and Animal Control officials.

“It appears he was left tied to a pole but he slipped his collar and just sat there waiting for help,” the animal shelter said in a post on Facebook. “He is cold and very scared! If anyone has any information on his owner please call 203-937-3642.”

The dog, described as a boxer mix, is currently “safe and warm” at the animal shelter.
