Driver Crashes Into Cars, Ends up on Train Tracks While Suffering Medical Emergency: West Haven Police

Emergency crews rescued the driver from the tracks early Thursday morning.

WEST HAVEN, CT — A driver suffering a medical emergency struck several parked cars at the West Haven train station before the car ended up on the tracks early Thursday morning.

The West Haven police and fire departments, along with Metro North Police, all responded to the scene at about 1:20 a.m.

Police said the pictured vehicle struck several parked cars before it ended up on the tracks.

The tracks were shut down as crews began the rescue operation.

The driver was transported to an area hospital and no other injuries were reported, according to police. There was no immediate word on the driver’s condition.
