Drugs, Stolen Gun Seized After Traffic Stop: West Haven Police

Three people were arrested in connection with the incident, according to police.

WEST HAVEN, CT — Three people were arrested on various charges after police seized drugs and a stolen gun during a traffic stop in West Haven, according to officials.

A patrol officer initiated a stop on a silver Hyundai in the area of Boston Post Road on motor vehicle violations, police said.

“As the vehicle stopped, the rear passenger fled from the vehicle and was later located by back up Officers,” police wrote in a post on Facebook. “As the investigation proceeded Officers had probable cause to arrest the operator for multiple motor vehicle offenses. Located in the vehicle was a quantity of fentanyl, marijuana, ecstacy pills and a stolen firearm.

“As a result of this investigation Ecinany Rodriguez-Ferreira, Shante Gause, and Carol Soliz were arrested and charged accordingly to their individual roles in this incident.”
