"Polly is missing from the shelter!" the animal shelter wrote in a post on Facebook. "This morning while Polly was outside in the dog yard she escaped. Officers have been looking for her with no luck. Polly is a senior chihuahua with one eye and has a hernia bulge on her lower stomach. "Do not approach her she will run." Anyone with information is asked to contact the West Haven Animal Shelter at 203-937-3642 or through the non-emergency police department number at 203-937-3900.
