Five Overdose Victims Revived with Narcan Overnight in West Haven: Police

West Haven emergency crews successfully administered Narcan to five people suffering apparent overdoses in two separate incidents: BREAKING

WEST HAVEN, CT — West Haven emergency crews revived five people suffering from apparent overdoses by administering Narcan in two separate incidents during the overnight hours on Monday, according to police.

West Haven police and fire department responded to 293 Elm Street at 12:08 a.m. on the report of three unconscious people, two in a vehicle and one inside Dunkin’ Donuts.

Fire department paramedics successfully administered Narcan, according to police. All three subjects told police that they ingested what they thought was Xanax at a house party. All involved were sent to a hospital for evaluation, according to police.

Just a couple of hours later, police and paramedics responded to a Brown Street address at 230 a.m. on the report of a motor vehicle accident.

Responding officers quickly learned there were two unconscious people in a vehicle, according to police.

Paramedics revived both people with Narcan and both were sent to a hospital for evaluation, police said.

Both people told police that they had purchased heroin in New Haven. West Haven Police Detectives are continuing investigations in both cases.
