Graduation Celebrations Planned For West Haven High Students

A three-part graduation celebration is planned for West Haven students in place of a traditional ceremony due to the coronavirus pandemic.

WEST HAVEN, CT — A three-part graduation celebration is planned for West Haven High School students in the place of a traditional graduation ceremony due to the coronavirus pandemic, according to the New Haven Register.

The Register reports the first event will take place June 4 with a parade where students will pick up their caps and gowns, followed by a virtual graduation on June 12 with traditional speakers.

Students, staggered in groups of 50, will then receive their diploma case during a ceremony on a stage in the high school parking lot over two days, June 29 and 30, according to the Register.
