Landmark Silver’s Building Hits The Auction Block In West Haven

The downtown retail corridor, including the former Silver's Drug Store building, has been put up for auction, according to a report.

WEST HAVEN, CT — The former Silver’s Drug Store building in downtown West Haven is on the auction block, according to the New Haven Register.

The Register reports the two buildings spanning 519-567 Campbell Avenue, which contain more than 15 retail storefronts and upstairs apartments, has been put up for an online auction by its out-of-state landlords.

The bidding opens at 12 noon on May 15 and ends at 12 noon on May 17. The starting bid is $1.5 million, according to the listing.

The popular Silver’s Drug Store was owned and operated by the Silver family from 1919 to 2006.
